Video footage of live acoustic performances by Seattle band, The Last Great Love, were recently discovered in the Melodrama Recordings Ltd. archive. The films, shot in London during last summer’s promotional tour in support of the band’s debut album, “Victory at Sea“, became available for the first time, showcasing the raw emotion of the band’s singer Carter David. These solo acoustic performances highlight the ‘veiled pop’ sensibilities of the band’s music, while delicately embracing its melancholy nature. The first video in the series is “The Bruise”, recorded live at The Spice of Life in London’s Sodo district. This song delves into the complicated world of conversation between two strangers, and the isolation that we all feel. You can watch the video in its entirety below:
